2021 Terrosa
Terrosa is Spanish means "earthy, chalky" and reflects where our estate vines are grown that showcase the Snake River Valley AVA that encompassed the ancient Lake Idaho, the shoreline with its soil of fletham series, loamy fine sand.
Estate blend: 50% Syrah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Verdot, 15% Cabernet Franc
Bee Friendly Farming, LIVE Sustainable, and Salmon-Safe Certified
Terrosa is a Spanish word for “earthy” or “chalky”, making it a perfect name for a wine that showcases where our estate vines are grown: the Snake River Valley AVA, which encompasses the ancient Lake Idaho shoreline with its distinctive Feltham series soil (loamy fine sand).
Our Terrosa is a premium blend of estate-grown Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot, with a touch of Cabernet Franc from our neighboring vineyard, K.P. Martin, which directly borders our estate vineyard. The grapes were hand-harvested at just two tons, allowing us to focus on exceptional quality and concentration. Bold and full-bodied, with layers of blackberry, cassis, and dark plum, complemented by mint, blueberry, and toasted oak. Its complexity carries through a long, smooth finish accented by toasted caramel.
Production: 138 cases
Of those 138 cases, 90 cases have been allocated exclusively to our Summer Wine Club release, providing our members with a special opportunity to secure this limited wine before it is gone.
Terrosa pairs beautifully with rich, savory dishes such as grilled ribeye, venison with a blueberry reduction sauce, herb-crusted lamb, and wild mushroom pasta. For a vegetarian option, try it with a hearty wild mushroom and roasted vegetable risotto, where earthy mushrooms, caramelized onions, and roasted root vegetables complement the wine’s blackberry, cassis, mint, and toasted oak notes. Aged cheeses such as Manchego or aged cheddar also make a wonderful accompaniment, bringing out the wine’s depth and long, smooth finish.
